About Chinese Pugs Chinese pugs are a toy breed of dog which are even-tempered and playful with outgoing and loving personalities. Pugs are an ancient breed whose history can be traced back to China, 600 BC. The largest of the toy breed of dogs, their appearance is characterized by short, smooth coats and tightly curled tails that are carried high over their backs. Their coloring is generally black, silver, or apricot-fawn, with a dark face. Pugs tend to be very loving and smart little couch potatoes. Very easy to keep, pugs don't require a lot of room to roam or a lot of food, which makes them great apartment pets. And best of all, they aren't "yappers".
